Pray for the Valencian Community
The Valencian Community, on Spain’s eastern coast, includes Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón. With 5 million people and over 800,000 foreigners, it’s a vibrant and diverse region. By 2008, there were 175 evangelical churches, but 61 towns over 5,000 people still lacked a church. Immigration has fueled church growth, but also presents challenges for integration.
Key Prayer Points
Valencia is a region of vibrant culture and growing diversity. Pray for continued church planting in unreached towns, unity among multiethnic congregations, and revival among students and immigrants. Ask God to turn this fertile land into a harvest field for His Kingdom.
Church Multiplication
Thank God for the growth so far. Pray for continued church planting until every town has a Gospel witness. Ask God to use Christian retirees from abroad to reach their Spanish neighbors.
Outreach to Immigrants
With over 16% of the population being foreign-born, pray for multiethnic ministries. Ask God to unite Spanish, Latin American, African, Chinese, and other believers into one Body that reflects heaven’s diversity.
Student Revival
Valencia is home to several universities. Pray for a move of God among students — that they would find purpose in Christ beyond secularism or nightlife. Lift up ministries focused on arts, science, and apologetics.
