Pray for Castile-La Mancha

Castile-La Mancha stretches across Spain’s central-southern plateau — the land of Don Quixote’s windmills and endless plains. It’s a predominantly agricultural region, known for wine and saffron, with about 2 million people spread across historic cities like Toledo and Albacete. Evangelically, it has a rich legacy: one of the first areas reached by Protestant missionaries over a century ago. Today, there are 66 churches, but 30 towns over 5,000 people still lack a church.

Key Prayer Points

Castile-La Mancha is a land of legacy and unfinished mission. As you pray, focus on honoring its spiritual heritage, planting churches in unreached towns, and responding to modern social challenges. Let’s ask God to breathe fresh vision into this historic region.

Thanksgiving for Heritage

Thank God for the “spiritual giants” of La Mancha’s past — pioneers who dreamed the impossible for the Gospel. Pray that today’s believers will honor that legacy by continuing the mission.

Finish the Task Locally

With 30 towns over 5,000 people still unreached, pray for a movement of church planting across La Mancha. Ask for unity among the 66 existing churches to adopt nearby towns and send workers.

Modern Challenges

The region faces high unemployment and depopulation. Pray for the church to respond with practical love — offering hope, training, and community. Ask God to make La Mancha a sending region into Madrid and beyond.
