Acts 5:27-29 – We Must Obey God Rather Than Man.
As we pray today, let’s ask God to help believers respond with obedience when earthly powers oppose His name.
Creator God, you have authority over all. When any human tries to impede teaching in your name through earthly power, help us respond as Peter and the apostles, “We must obey God rather than man.” We pray this in Jesus’ name.
Acts 5:27-29 The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest. “We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.” Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!”
